Miley Cyrus recently shared a heartfelt message about the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles, reflecting on her own experience of losing her Malibu home during the 2018 Woolsey fires.
Posting on Instagram, she included a photo of her destroyed house and wrote, “This is a picture of my front porch in 2018 after the Woolsey fires. It’s a feeling you never forget—approaching a door you once walked through daily, expecting warmth and love, only to find ash and rubble.”
The 32-year-old singer expressed deep sympathy for those affected, saying, “My soul aches for those facing this devastation. I cry for my city, once a symbol of ‘living the dream,’ now engulfed in destruction.”
Cyrus, who shared her Malibu home with her ex-husband Liam Hemsworth, was fortunate to escape unharmed with her pets.
She is now actively supporting relief efforts, donating to organizations like the Malibu Foundation, which she co-founded after the 2018 fires.
Other celebrities are also stepping up to help. Kim Kardashian’s Skims brand is providing essentials for displaced residents, while Jamie Lee Curtis has donated $1 million. Paris Hilton, Halle Berry, and Jennifer Garner are contributing funds and resources to support victims and first responders.
With thousands of acres already destroyed, worsening winds are expected to intensify the crisis, leaving countless residents displaced.
