King Charles III has expressed his heartfelt sympathy following a recent aviation accident involving an American Airlines flight.
On Wednesday, a commercial flight traveling from Wichita, Kansas, experienced a tragic event near Washington, D.C.
“My family and I are deeply saddened by this heartbreaking news, which has brought great sorrow,” the monarch, 76, said in a statement on Saturday.
“Our thoughts are with the people of the United States, and we extend our deepest sympathies to the families and loved ones of those affected.”
King Charles also acknowledged and appreciated the emergency responders for their quick and dedicated efforts.
The incident has deeply impacted the skating community, as several young athletes and coaches from The Skating Club of Boston were on board. The club shared its grief, emphasizing the close connections within their community.
